New York, NY. (Shore Fire Media)--Joan Osborne has announced plans for a fall tour in support of her new album, 'Little Wild One,' due out
September 9th (Womanly Hips/Plum/Saguaro Road/Music Allies). The tour will showcase material from the record, which marks the first collaboration between Osborne and producers/writers Rick Chertoff, Rob Hyman, and Eric Bazilian since her debut, 'Relish,' a smash hit that garnered six Grammy nominations and sold over five million copies.
Tour highlights this fall include two performances in her adopted hometown of New York, one at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 25 and another at the Highline Ballroom on October 25. Of her live performances, the New York Times has noted that, "Ms. Osborne's voice teases out every undertone of her smart, subtle lyrics."
While this tour marks a return to her pop roots, Osborne has spent much of the past few years exploring the full range of her remarkable talent. She toured as lead vocalist for The Dead and went on the road with the legendary Funk Brothers following her show-stopping performance with them in the acclaimed film, "Standing in the Shadows of Motown." She's appeared onstage with artists as diverse as Brian Wilson, Pavarotti, and Stevie Wonder. No wonder Rolling Stone said, "Joan Osborne might be the hardest working woman in rock and roll."
