Music Co. , launched the pre-sale of Do You Believe Me Now, this week via a social-networking "widget."
The widget is a unique selling tool which is found on Wayne's website and MySpace. In addition, Jimmy Wayne fans will have the ability to place the widget on their own web and social networking sites to help spread the word about and encourage pre-sales of his new album.
The widget will be a one-stop shop, allowing music fans to preview songs from Wayne's new album AND to purchase it both digitally and physically, all in the same space. Fans that pre-purchase the album will receive an exclusive track by Wayne called, "Counting the Days."
In addition, a "Help Pick the Next Single" widget allows fans to listen to previews of 5 Jimmy Wayne songs and vote for the one they think should be his next single. The code for this widget can also be found on Jimmy's website and MySpace.
Wayne's new album, Do You Believe Me Now, contains the single of the same name which rose this week to #8 on both the Billboard and the USA Today/ Mediabase Country Singles charts.
Do You Believe Me Now also contains brand new recordings of Wayne's two biggest hits, "Stay Gone," and "I Love You This Much."
Wayne is also featured on the network special, PEOPLE COUNTRY ON CMT which premieres Saturday, August 9 at 10:30 a.m. ET/ 11:30 a.m. CT. The CMT network special brings the pages of PEOPLE' magazine's upcoming Country issue to life. The issue lands on stands this Friday.
Teeming with up tempo tracks, Do You Believe Me Now, runs the gamut of themes, from the summertime fun of "I'll Be That" to the sensual "One on One" to Wayne's autobiographical "Kerosene Kid." The album features, "No Good For Me," a heart-wrenching duet with Patty Loveless as well as the empowering anthem, "Where You're Going," which features a guest vocal by John Oates of the legendary duo Hall & Oates. Wayne, an accomplished songwriter, wrote 5 of the new tracks on the album.
Do You Believe Me Now will be in stores August 26th. The sophomore effort marks his first recording since his Top 10 self-titled debut, which included the hit singles "Stay Gone", "I Love You This Much" and the perennial holiday favorite "Paper Angels."
Wayne has a musical track record that includes a Top 10 self-titled album which garnered a string of hits on the Billboard Country chart including "Stay Gone" (#3); "I Love You This Much" (#6); and the Top 20 hits "Paper Angels" and "You Are," all co-written by Wayne .
