Los Angeles, CA./Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Big Machine Records) - Taylor Swift was named Choice Breakout Artist at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards, adding a coveted Teen Choice surfboard award to her growing collection of honors. "It really means a lot to win an award voted on by people my age!" says Taylor . "Fan voted awards mean more to me than anything else, so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted!" Held earlier this week in Los Angeles, the awards honor the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion. Taylor was nominated for Choice Breakout Artist along with Colbie Callait, Flo Rida, Jordin Sparks and Leona Lewis. This marks Taylor's 7th major award win in less than a year.
