Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Capitol Records Nashville) - Capitol Records Nashville is set to release a new single from
Chris Cagle to country radio. Chris will release "Never Ever Gone" (written by
George Dulaney/Neil Thrasher/Tom Shapiro) on August 19, 2008.
An upbeat, forget-me-not, everything reminds me of you, break-up song, featuring electric guitar and fiddle, and captivating phrasing that wraps from one verse to the other, the single comes from Cagle's latest project MY LIFE'S BEEN A COUNTRY SONG. The fourth album from Capitol Records Nashville, the CD debuted at No 1 on Billboard's "Current Country" Chart making it one of the best-selling country albums in February 2008.
"For some reason this song reminded me of something Tom Petty would sing," Cagle introduced. "Not one line, not one lyric, not one note lets you down. It's the only love song with a negative connotation that I've heard that makes me feel good. Neil Thrasher sings background vocals and it's one of my personal favorites on the album."
During his career, top-selling artist Chris Cagle has graced the country singles charts with numerous hits and five Top Tens including "What Kinda Gone" (his debut single from MY LIFE'S BEEN A COUNTRY SONG).
Canvassing the country this summer, Chris has played dates in Alabama, Ohio, Oklahoma, Washington, Wyoming and California. He is scheduled to headline the upcoming Give Kids The World Concert Series-a three-day musical event to be held August 12, 13 & 14 at various locations in the Golden State (Sacramento/ Fresno/Riverside)-to assist the organization in ensuring that no child is ever denied the opportunity to live their special dream.
