Chevelle Announces Horror-inspired 20+ Date Summer Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) "Go creepy or go home," Chevelle frontman/guitarist Pete Loeffler told Premier Guitar about the band's live show which will continue this summer with an additional 20+ dates. In keeping with the darker sound on Chevelle's latest album 'La Gargola,' the show features an ominous on-stage atmosphere (antiqued mannequin parts, antlers, a blood-red backdrop of factory smokestacks) and drop-C guitar tuning.

The Chicago-based rock trio will perform a collection of hits from their two-decade career, as well as tracks off 'La Gargola,' which notched the band a #3 debut on the Billboard 200 (their career peak) and features the top ten Active Rock hit "Take Out the Gunman."

Called their "tightest work" (AllMusic), a "sonic reinvention for the group" (Last.FM), and "their most potent, ear-punishing songs to date," (Minneapolis Star Tribune) 'La Gargola' features electronic drum kits, stomp boxes, and vintage amps, and was "inspired by the dark underbelly of American culture" (Chicago Sun-Times). It was sonically influenced by Loeffler's appreciation of horror cinema including 'Rosemary's Baby,' 'The Walking Dead,' and 'Friday the 13th,' as well as the band's love of industrial metal pioneers Ministry.
