New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Laboratorie New Music) Internationally acclaimed composer Bil Smith will introduce "Delinquent Spirit of a Drowned City" for solo piano. The work will be performed by pianist Nicolas Horvath at GlassWorlds as a tribute to Philip Glass. at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France on April 11, 2014. Bil Smith's musical compositions are known for their radically disruptive graphic style which eliminates traditional notation and replaces it with a complex system of imagery and layers.

Bil Smith lives in New York . His work has been programmed by leading contemporary music ensembles and his scores have been published and exhibited in art galleries throughout the world.

Regarding the upcoming world premiere, Smith stated "I am honored to be part of a stellar line up of world class composers chosen by Maestro Nicolas Horvath to participate in this monumental event dedicated to the iconic Philip Glass."

Bil identifies himself as an inter-disciplinarian composer, incorporating combinatorial techniques including neologisms, prose, painting, sculpture, drawing and combustion, as well as traditional elements of music composition to his work.

His compositions have been performed by specialist ensembles and soloists including members of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Moderne, The Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, St. Petersberg Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra. Schoenberg Ensemble Amsterdam, Ensemble Gelade, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic, and Oslo Sinfonietta.
