Punch Brothers Begin Three-Week US Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Nonesuch Records) Punch Brothers kick off a three-week tour of the United States this Sunday with a sold-out show at Oberlin College in Ohio, part of the group's three-part residency on the campus this academic year. (The residency is the first of its kind produced through Oberlin's American Roots Residency Fund, established by actor-comedian Ed Helms, a 1996 Oberlin graduate and musician; Punch Brothers guitarist Chris Eldridge graduated from the college in 2004.) The tour, featuring music from the band's Nonesuch albums and more and support from singer/songwriter Aoife O'Donovan, continues through the end of the month with shows in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Indiana, Wisconsin, Connecticut, and upstate New York, as well as festival sets at Suwannee Springfest in Florida and Savannah Music Festival in Georgia (at which various band members will also perform separate shows). Punch Brothers will also perform at the High Sierra and Sasquatch! festivals in the Pacific Northwest in July.

Chris Thile, fresh from a duo tour with fellow mandolinist Mike Marshall, plays a duo show of a different sort with label mate pianist Brad Mehldau at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis on April 8, and then joins up with his fellow Nickel Creek band mates, Sara Watkins and Sean Watkins, to tour for the first time since its 2007 self-described "indefinite hiatus." The new Nickel Creek album, A Dotted Line , is due out on Nonesuch April 1 and is available for pre-order in iTunes and the Nonesuch Store with an instant download of album tracks "Destination" and "Love of Mine."
See below for Punch Brothers' upcoming tour dates. For all the latest tour details and ticket links for these, Chris Thile's solo dates, and the Nickel Creek tour, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.
