Swedish Duo First Aid Kit Unveils North American Spring Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Columbia Records) Swedish duo First Aid Kit has announced its much anticipated North American spring tour. The headline run kicks off May 22 at Portland's Wonder Ballroom and includes festival stops at Sasquatch! Festival, Houston's Free Press Summer Festival, and a final tour stop at Bonnaroo Music Festival. See below for a full itinerary.

First Aid Kit—sisters Klara and Johanna Soderberg—are currently putting the finishing touches on their Columbia Records debut, set to be released this year. Further details will be unveiled in the coming weeks. The forthcoming release will be the band's third LP and is the follow up to The Lion's Roar, which has sold over 250,000 copies worldwide to date.

Hailing from a southern suburb of Stockholm, Klara and Johanna began composing songs in 2007. Initially signed in 2008 by The Knife-owned label Rabid Records, First Aid Kit have gone from faraway teenage fans covering Fleet Foxes to releasing an EP and two full-length recordings—2008's Drunken Trees EP, 2010's The Big Black & The Blue, and 2012's highly praised The Lion's Roar, which was recorded in Omaha, NE, produced by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk), and released by Wichita Recordings. Their heart-wrenchingly beautiful song "Emmylou" was chosen by Rolling Stone as the magazine's #10 'Single of the Year' in 2012. And just last fall, the sisters performed the song on the Late Show with David Letterman (watch HERE: https://bit.ly/1fr8rOG). First Aid Kit has toured the globe, sharing the stage with artists including Jack White, Lykee Li, and Bright Eyes, and has performed at festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Newport Folk Festival, and Austin City Limits.
