Elvis Costello & The Roots To Play The Capitol Theatre On March 12, 2014
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) The Capitol Theatre will host a rare concert by Elvis Costello & The Roots on Wednesday, March 12, as they join forces for their second-ever live performance following the release of the critically acclaimed 2013 collaboration 'Wise Up Ghost.' Their first concert together at Brooklyn Bowl was a sold-out smash, with The New York Times observing that Costello was "in excellent voice" and "noticeably invigorated by his company."

Tickets are on sale Friday, January 31 at noon EST via: www.thecapitoltheatre.com or www.ticketfly.com

The collaborative 'Wise Up Ghost' was deemed "A+ work" by SPIN and "a work of psychedelic soul and hip-hop throb" by Rolling Stone.

This isn't the first amazing collaboration that The Capitol Theatre has hosted since reopening in the fall of 2012. Trey Anastasio of Phish, Warren Haynes, Bob Weir and The Roots shared the stage there, and SNL alum Maya Rudolph joined The Roots for a set of Prince covers as well. Known for its incredibly diverse range of bookings - from My Morning Jacket and Fiona Apple to Morrissey and Al Green--Rolling Stone called The Cap "one of the best music halls in the country," and NPR hailed it as "the platonic ideal of a live music room."
