FORT WORTH, TX. (CountryLegens Association/ www.clalonestar.com) - The Country
Legends Association was formed to promote Traditional/Classic Country, Gospel and Bluegrass music, which has been ignored to some extent and to preserve the roots that brought Traditional Country
Music to the public.
The Country Legends Association was founded in 1997. A trade organization to promote Original Country Music both Nationally and Internationally to assure advertisers, media and consumers that those that made Country Music what it is today will always have a sound foundation and recognition of those who are gone and the many that are on the horizon in True Real Country Music to educate and direct it's development to the future.
It is a membership organization. The members elect the Board of Directors who manage the affairs of the Association. The corporation also has an Advisory Board which will support the Board of Directors with its advice and comment. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Association are carried out by the executive officers of the corporation. If you share our purposes and goals, we invite you to join us as a member of Country Legends Association.
Over some decades, a unique-American art form was developed by many people who were, in the finest sense, pioneers bringing blessings, enjoyment, entertainment and enrichment to millions of people in America and eventually, around the world. Once, it might have been called mountain music or cowboy music. It was brought to us by down-home people, the tillers of the soil, those who went to the sea in ships, the cowpokes, the railroaders, the airmen, those who felled the giant timber, the ones who stayed home and molded the lives of our children - any man, woman, boy or girl who ever loved and was loved - the young, the old, those in between - your everyman, every woman, everyone.
Some told stories, some wrote the songs, others sang the songs and played this music which pleased the hearts of so many. In their eyes, it reached its zenith sometime before 1970. The sound is instantly recognizable; artists who performed it very often became household names, true legends in their time.
It is the purpose and goal of the Country Legends Association to bring people of like mind together to join hands and hearts to preserve, restore and promote this unique part of Americana for the benefit of those who will follow after, that it might not be, in future years, merely an academic curiosity, but remain a viable art form indefinitely, continuing to bring blessing and enrichment to the world.
