NASHVILLE, TN. (Universal South Records) - Reigning CMA Horizon Award winner Joe Nichols will be profiled in the October 15th issue of Life magazine. The venerated publication has recently reinvented itself, and the new incarnation of Life debuts this fall as a weekend supplemental section in newspapers around the country. The magazine's initial readership is expected to hit the 12 million mark. Nichols is featured in a photo essay on music's promising newcomers.

Just this weekend Nichols took a break from his busy summer tour schedule to spend an afternoon in the Chinatown section of Los Angeles for the Life photo shoot. He was photographed by famed celebrity photographer Danielle Levitt, who recently shot Hillary Duff for Blender magazine and Jack Black for Spin.

Nichols is already back on the road, playing tour dates this week in Utah and California before heading to Las Vegas this weekend for a Friday in-store at Tower Records and a Saturday night show at the Orleans Hotel & Casino. Nichols has been touring non-stop this summer in support of Revelation, his second album for Universal South Records. "If Nobody Believed In You," the CD's lead single, is currently in it's 25th week on the country radio charts.
