Brad Mehldau, Mark Guiliana Launch Mehliana Tour Of Europe
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Pianist and composer Brad Mehldau kicks off a two-week, 12-city European tour in the new electric duo with drummer Mark Guiliana, titled Mehliana. The configuration presents Mehldau performing on Fender Rhodes and an arsenal of vintage synthesizers while Guiliana accompanies on drums and effects. The European tour follows a successful duo tour across the United States in October. To mark the occasion, Nonesuch is offering an early listen to "Hungry Ghost," a track off the forthcoming Mehliana album, due in early 2014. Listen below.

The Mehliana tour begins with five concerts in France, followed by a set at Barbican Hall in London for the EFG London Jazz Festival and stops in Germany, Italy, Monaco, and Switzerland. See below for all of the currently scheduled tour dates. For additional details, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour .

In 2012, Brad Mehldau released two albums on Nonesuch Records with his Trio, featuring Larry Grenadier on bass and Jeff Ballard on drums: Ode, a recording of 11 previously unreleased songs composed by Mehldau, and Where Do You Start , comprising the Trio's interpretations of ten tunes by other composers, along with one Mehldau original. In May 2013, Nonesuch released Joshua Redman's new album, Walking Shadows , which Brad Mehldau produced and on which he performed.
