Hill Country Live Hosts Chip Taylor, Jimmy Lafave, The California Honeydrops, And More This August
WASHINGTON, DC (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Hill Country Live - DC's go-to destination for Americana, alt-country, and roots music- brings the iconic songwriter Chip Taylor, legendary Oklahoma singer Jimmy LaFave, the LA Times-beloved second-liners the California Honeydrops, and many more to their Capital Hill roadhouse and backyard BBQ stage at the National Building Museum this August. Plus, on August 13th, Hill Country Live celebrates DC Beer Week with a night of outdoor music and beer-infused barbeque pairings with four different Shiner beers.

August 2 - Chip Taylor - The New York Times said it best: "If you only know him as the as the guy who wrote "Wild Thing" and "Angel of the Morning" you don't know him! Chip Taylor is making some of the most distinctive acoustic music around today." He celebrates his new album 'Block Out the Sirens of This Lonely World', which the New Yorker compared to John Prine and Kris Kristofferson.

August 13 - Hill Country's DC Beer Week Shiner Beer & Barbecue Bash- The Woodshedders soundtrack a DC Beer Week celebration in the HC Backyard on the lawn of the National Building Museum. They'll be pairing four different Shiner beers with some of our favorite beer-infused barbecue:
·Smoked Berkshire Pork Belly with Shiner Hefeweizen Glaze, Jalapeño-Cheddar Shiner Biscuit paired with Shiner Hefeweizen
·Hill Country's Hot Link with Shiner Premium Kraut, Whole Grain Shiner Mustard on Mini Potato Bun paired with Shiner Premium
·Shiner & Butter-Basted Beer-Can Turkey with White Shoepeg Corn Pudding and Shiner Gravy paired with a Shiner Pale Ale

August 17 - The Red Dirt Rangers - This summer, Oklahoma's favorite sons the Red Dirt Rangers celebrate their 25th anniversary. Their brand new album 'Lone Chimney' features songs penned with the late Bob Childers just before he passed, and the Daily Oklahoman called it one of the best of their career.

August 18th - The California Honeydrops - The LA Times said, "Though from Oakland, their Southern-fried jazz is so authentic that [audiences] may wonder whether they've been transported to the Big Easy." Living Blues called them "the most refreshing act to roll down the blues highway in some time. Few groups before them have melded so many strains of African American music into such a seamless whole."
