Joe Silva Releases "Blue" Album Produced By Anton Fig
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ISL PR) Classic rock singer-songwriter JOE SILVA has announced the US release of his newest album, "Blue," set to drop July 23, 2013. The New England-based recording artist spent the last year working with world renowned drummer Anton Fig (CBS Orchestra for the Late Show with David Letterman), who produced the album.

While SILVA gears up for the US release of "Blue" with select concert appearances, the album's second single, "Didn't Mean Like This," has been released. The song basically tells the story of SILVA's divorce and shows the "wife" transforming into a wolf during an argument. And yes, that's a real wolf! His name is Koda, and the pet of SILVA's friend. "Hollywood Animal Trainer Steve Ritt had me run to the store the morning of the shoot to buy two whole chickens for Koda to 'nibble on' while we filmed the interior shots. He is well trained and was very cooperative during the whole shoot." See the video here:

"Blue" was previously released only in the UK while SILVA was on a 20-city acoustic tour, opening for The Alarm's Mike Peters. The video for the single "Blue" was shot in the desert just north-east of Los Angeles, affording some extraordinary views of the area. He explains: "The ruins in the desert is a location that I would drive by many times over several years while driving to my friend's ranch in Llano, CA. I felt the desert location was perfect for setting the image for the loneliness and isolation expressed in the song...just remnants of what used to be a home, in the middle of nowhere.' The video for "Blue" can be seen here:

SILVA got his start in music when he was just 14, performing in a band with some classmates, playing in local bars and nightclubs. The group opened for numerous acts including Joan Jett, the Hooters, Joe Satriani, and Extreme. Over the course of his career as a singer, guitarist, and drummer, SILVA has shared the stage with over 30 superstar acts including David Johansen, Journey, Peter Tork, Quiet Riot, and Garland Jeffreys.

Following in the footsteps of his idols, SILVA has recorded at some of the most prestigious recording facilities in the world, including Sun Studios in Memphis, where Elvis Presley recorded, and the famed Abbey Road Studios, legendary for hosting The Beatles so often during their careers. Tracks for SILVA's next album were recorded at this London landmark.

SILVA's passion for charity work has seen him raise over $100,000 with his music for causes including Ireland's Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Boston Red Sox Scholarship Foundation, and the "'Love Hope Strength" Cancer Foundation. A sports fan,SILVA was honored to perform the National Anthem for over 50,000 people at both Fenway Park in Boston, and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

"Blue" will be available for purchase through iTunes, Amazon, and most online retailers. Upcoming tour dates can be found at www.TheJoeSilvaWebsite.com
