NASHVILLE, TN. (RCA Records) - RCA's multi-platinum star Sara Evans is in demand at next week's Republican National Convention in New York City. The CMA Award-winner was asked by Vice President Dick Cheney to perform her signature smash, "Born to Fly," to introduce him on Wednesday, September 1. Sara was to help First Lady Laura Bush kick off the second night (August 31) of festivities at Madison Square Garden, but due to scheduling issues she'll sing the following evening instead. Sara's current single, "Suds in the Bucket," from her Gold album Restless, is currently No 9 on both the Billboard and R&R country charts this week and continues its climb.
