Icona Pop Confirm 'The Iconic Tour'; 'I Love It' Now Certified Platinum In The USA, Reaching Over 1.3 Million In Sales
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Swedish pop duo Icona Pop are proud to announce they will be hitting the road later this year for their first ever headlining tour in the U.S. In true girl power form, they will be taking Grammy award winning rapper Sirah (Atlantic) and New York rapper/musician/producer K.Flay (RCA) on the road with them for 'The Iconic Tour' presented by TIGI Bed Head.

Since performing live on NBC's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, ABC's Good Morning America and having their single featured on FOX's GLEE earlier this month, Icona Pop have officially been RIAA certified Platinum for their current hit single 'I Love It' and continue to climb the charts, currently residing at #7 in Billboard's Hot 100.

The duo's also confirmed to perform live at this year's Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 19th. Fans can tune in to watch the show on ABC from 08:00PM / 07:00PM CDT. Other performers include Prince, Macklemore, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Bruno Mars, Miguel, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran and many more.

In light of all recent successes and single sales in the United States, the Swedish duo are now in the same historical league as fellow nationals Ace of Base who released their hit single 'All That She Wants' which went Platinum back in 1993, as well as Swedish House Mafia, and Avicii who have also topped the U.S singles charts in recent years.

While the girls are making the final touches on their debut album (due out later this year), fans can also catch them this summer on a string of U.S festival dates that include Chicago's Lollapalooza and Governor's Ball in New York City before they return this fall for their headlining tour.

This highly anticipated 'Iconic Tour' is presented by TIGI Bed Head, who will be providing pop-up dry-styling stations hosted by some of the world's top TIGI hair stylists for fans to glam up with their pals in time for the show each night. "Icona Pop's style is a perfect match for our brand, and this partnership enables us to reach an audience that appreciates diversity and style just like TIGI Bed Head," said Director of Marketing of TIGI Haircare Andy Rah.
