Prime Time Music To Release The Exotic Birds CD (Pre-NIN)
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Prime Time Music) The Exotic Birds were a Cleveland synthpop band which in hindsight was sort of a farm team for electronic musicians. The band, which formed in 1983 featured three Cleveland Institute of Music percussion students, Andy Kubiszewski, Tom Freer and Tim Adams. In 1985 Trent Reznor (who later formed Nine Inch Nails) joined the band on keyboards, programming and backing vocals. Shortly after that, Freer departed the band for the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra and was replaced by Reznor's roommate, Chris Vrenna who would also later join Reznor in Nine Inch Nails. Andy Kubiszewski played percussion on some of Reznor's early Nine Inch Nails tracks and went on to drum for The The, Crowded House, Prick and Stabbing Westward.

Although Reznor did not perform on this album, it provided a creative roadmap and stepping stone for his future band, "Nine In Nails."

On April 30th, 2013 for the first time The Exotic Birds Album, (Produced by Tom Cossie and originally released in 1984 only on Vinyl), will become available digitally on April 30th through I-Tunes, Amazon and other key digital distributors.

Prime Time Music, Inc. develops, acquires and produces music programming for a wide range of notable and high profile artists, and distributes digitally on a worldwide basis.
