Montreal, Canada (Top40 Charts/ Stephane Tetreault Online) Cello prodigy, Stéphane Tétreault, first made international headlines a year ago as the recipient of Bernard Greenhouse's cello, the 1707 "Countess of Stainlein, Ex-Paganini" Stradivarius, on loan by Jacqueline Desmarais. The release of his debut CD, featuring the works of Saint-Saëns and Tchaikovsky, was met with critical acclaim in Canada and recently praised in classical music's world-leading Gramophone and The Strad magazines.

In 2012, Tétreault was awarded the Opus Prize for "New Artist of the Year" and was among the Top 25 Artists chosen by Radio-Canada and La Presse newspaper. He has performed with world-renowned conductors Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Michael Tilson Thomas, Paul McCreesh, Kent Nagano and Fabien Gabel, amongst others. This May, Tétreault will share the stage with famed violinist Maxim Vengerov in Beethoven's Triple Concerto.
Stéphane Tétreault is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in music performance at University of Montreal and had been studying, until recently, under the guidance of the late cellist and conductor Yuli Turovsky.
