Barry "The Foz" Fasman Releases New Single "Cover Up (The Benghazi Song)"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ MondoTunes) Barry "The Foz" Fasman has released his newest and arguably most important single to date, titled, "Cover Up (The Benghazi Song)." Fasman's place in the chronicles of music history is not merely cemented; it's engraved in steel. This is particularly true in Chicago, where Fasman was keyboardist/vocalist for the Irv Azoff-managed One-Eyed Jacks in the late 60's, and the Los Angeles underground rock scene, of which he has been an integral part since the late 70s. This legacy is what makes his contemporary release of "Cover Up" and its accompanying, chilling music video so compelling [video available for viewing here: www.youtube.com/thebenghazisong]. Barry Fasman's latest single is entirely earnest and direct, and its message requires the close attention of citizens around the world.

Commenting on his inspirations for "Cover Up," Fasman writes, "The Obama administration put a spin on the events of the 9/11/12 attack on [the United States'] Libyan embassy in Benghazi to make it look like 'a video-induced spontaneous mob' reaction, as opposed to what it really was: a preplanned terrorist attack. By doing this, the President helped himself to his precious re-election."

While this may seem like an unlikely direction for an artist to take his music today, it must be remembered that Fasman comes from the stock who played rock and roll when it was still dangerous, a mode of expression that frightened governments worldwide. This was before corporate America watered it down with "boy bands" and easily marketed pop until meaningful lyrics became virtually unsellable, practically nonexistent.

At various times Fasman has shared the stage with the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Kansas, Foghat, and the Blue Oyster Cult. He produced and wrote 32 songs for NBC's original, smash-hit "FAME." He has arranged music for Diana Ross, Air Supply, Barry Manilow, Billy Joel, George Benson, Dionne Warwick, and Placido Domingo. His other important credits are easily twice as long as the list given here, but they are not the thing.

The thing is that Barry Fasman is back, and raging mad, and he wants the public to hear why they should be outraged, too.

The single and video, "Cover Up (The Benghazi Song)," are available online worldwide.

The single "Cover Up (The Benghazi Song)" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes for convenient purchase and download
