Joan Osborne Celebrates Grammy Nomination And Grammy Awards With Appearances On Hallmark's Home & Family, CBS Los Angeles, HuffPost Live And More
Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Webster & Associates) Joan Osborne, a seven-time Grammy Award nominee, is celebrating her 2013 Grammy nomination with appearances on Hallmark's Home & Family (check local listings), CBS Los Angeles (Feb. 8 at 2:15pm PT), HuffPost Live (https://live.huffingtonpost.com/) and more. Osborne, no stranger to the Grammys, is nominated for Best Blues Album. Joan will also be appearing at The Troubadour with Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell with Friends on Saturday, Feb. 9.

"Any Grammy nomination is a wonderful thing. But it's especially sweet to be recognized for an album I co-produced with my old friend Jack Petruzzelli, that features my amazing road band. It was a real home-grown labor of love on everyone's part," said Osborne.

Osborne's Bring It On Home was released in March to great critical acclaim. The New York Daily News named the album to its "Top Ten" in music list, noting that "she recasts the blues with her own grind and shout" and the New Yorker delighted in her "voice containing a rich mixture of colors... now she's come back to the blues." American Songwriter magazine added, "...Osborne injects tremendous passion into sides originally recorded by Ray Charles, Sonny Boy Williamson, Al Green, Otis Redding and others. When she digs into John Mayall's slow blues 'Broken Wings,' the emotional torrent obscured in the original is brought to the surface through her fiery vocals." And No Depression marveled, "Joan Osborne has a real hot record here. She has given the Blues a shot this time and, boy, it really works for her." Even London's Daily Express newspaper weighed in: "Her voice is beautifully bluesy and wonderfully expressive while the music is soulful, sophisticated and slightly retro sounding, meaning the package reeks class as it moves between rowdy versions of songs such as 'Shoorah! Shoorah!' to deep soul versions of 'The Same Love That Made Me Laugh.'"
