New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Hill Country Live, DC's go-to destination for Americana, alt-country, and roots music, packs the year's shortest month full with shows by Nashville's up-and-coming If Birds Could Fly, the V-Roys' Scott Miller in an intimate acoustic setting, NPR favorite Corb Lund, and actor-turned-balladeer John Corbett.
Feb 19 - If Birds Could Fly - A haunting mix of Appalachian folk, Americana, and retro country, American Songwriter favorites If Birds Could Fly bring a powerful and soul absorbing blend of mountain music to their new album 'GHOSTS' on Nashville's Stillbrook Records. https://music.hillcountrywdc.com/event/195819-if-birds-could-fly-washington/
Feb 22 - Corb Lund - "Guns and graves, bovines and bikers, whiskey and women — even with all the references Lund crams into his new record, it rarely feels gratuitous, and that's impressive," says NPR. It all amounts to career-best reviews for Lund, a former metal musician and fourth generation Albertan rancher, for new album 'Cabin Fever,' which the NY Times called "an album of pithy mischief and roguish charm."

Feb 26 - Scott Miller - Formally of the V-Roys - the first band signed to Steve Earle's E-Squared label - Miller's new sound "brings the best elements of his previous band and adds a sense of drama and history" (All Music). Raised on a cattle farm in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, Miller left the family farm and moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1990, where he started scraping a living in local bars and clubs. His band Scott Miller and the Commonwealth became the house band for the WB Network's 'Blue Collar TV with Jeff Foxworthy,' and Miller celebrates their work in this special stripped-down acoustic show.

March 1 - John Corbett - Corbett first found fame as an actor, working on 'Sex And The City', 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding', and 'Northern Exposure'. However, his first love was always music. His self-titled debut album, released in 2006, climbed to No. 42 on Billboard's Country Albums chart. Slant Magazine credits the album with "straightforwardly good country songs" and Corbett's follow-up 'Leaving Nothin' Behind' drops this year.
