New York, NY (Top40 Charts) USA Today has the premiere of "Chicken Switch" the lead track from James Hunter's first album in 5 years, out next month on Concord. James says the song is about the "virtues of judiciously applied cowardice." USA Today calls is "a veritable encyclopedia of vintage soul sounds ... something that might have come out of Muscle Shoals, Ala., or Chicago's Vee Jay Records in the mid-'60s."

James kicks off a nationwide headlining tour Feb 22, and will play SXSW for the first time in March.
