Rod Stewart's Christmas Comes Early With 16th Top 10 Album And No 1 Hit Single!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rod Stewart's holiday season becomes a little more merry as the first single "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" off his hit holiday album, "Merry Christmas, Baby" tops Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart this week - scoring him his first #1 song in nearly two decades. "Merry Christmas, Baby," which was just certified platinum, was released on October 30 and debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200, marking Stewart's 16th Top 10 Album on the chart.

In a career spanning more than five decades, Stewart is no stranger to chart-topping success. He's scored an amazing 49 songs on Billboard's Hot 100 and "Let it Snow" marks his first #1 AC hit since 1993's "Have I Told You Lately." Produced by David Foster and released via his UMG imprint, Verve Music Group, "Merry Christmas, Baby" sees Rod Stewart joined by a number of A-list guests beginning with Dave Koz accompanying him on saxophone for "Let It Snow!," "Michael Bublé on "Winter Wonderland," "We Three Kings" with Mary J. Blige and the title tune "Merry Christmas, Baby" with Cee-Lo Green, as well as a special 'virtual' duet with Ella Fitzgerald on "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?".

The collection shattered HSN sales records, selling more than 30,000 albums during Stewart's live concert October 26th. With a number of major TV appearances including the "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 28,the TODAY Show on November 29, Live With Kelly & Michael on November 30, "Michael Buble: Home For The Holidays" on December 10, Katie on December 18, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on December 21 and on his very first holiday special, "Rod Stewart: Merry Christmas, Baby" on PBS, the album is positioned to continue its ascent.
