NEW YORK (Country Of The Gulf TV series) - Gloria Gaynor made history in 1973 when "Never Can Say Good-Bye " debuted at No 1 on Billboard's inaugural, Disco Action Charts. She pioneered and ushered in a new era of music that to this day, keeps influencing the modern day dance styles of Deborah Cox, Kristine W, Beyonce and countless others. On July 9, the Queen of Disco will break new ground yet again as she partakes in the Country On The Gulf series tribute to Hank Williams. The new country music show will launch on July 9th as part of the debut series for Great American Country (GAC). The show will tape at the Grand Casino Theater in Biloxi, Mississippi. Gloria will sing two Williams classics, "Why Don't You Love Me," and "I Could Never Be Ashamed of You." "I was so honored to be asked to be part of this tribute to Hank Williams. Not many people know that I grew up listening to the country music likes of Hank Williams, Kitty Wells, Jimmie Rodgers and so many of them. I also write country songs - it is music about life, shortly after I released "I Will Survive" in 1979, country singer, Billie Jo Spears, covered the song the same year and brought it to the top of the country charts." says Gaynor. Gaynor will have her own celebration of sorts this year, marking her 25th Anniversary of the legendary anthem, "I Will Survive." A tribute of her own is currently in the works for a Fall spectacular. After the tribute on the July 9, Gloria will then travel to another casino city - LasVegas - for the regional show, THE VEGAS SHOW with host Sheena Easton. The show airs on the local FOX affiliate. Ms. Gaynor will sing her signature song, "I Will Survive" along with her No 1 hit "I Never Knew," from her 2002 BMG/Logic Records release, 'I Wish You Love.'
