Tim McGraw Strikes Gold On Eve Of Newest Album Release 'Emotional Traffic' With Certification Of Latest #1 Single
Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Webster & Associates) Tim McGraw adds yet another awards plaque to his extensive trophy wall with the announcement that his most recent #1 single Felt Good On My Lips has struck digital download gold on the sales front. The good news comes on the countdown to McGraw's much anticipated new studio album, Emotional Traffic, being released by Curb Records tomorrow. Felt Good On My Lipsis included in the new package.

The song reached #1 for McGraw on the country charts in January 2011 and stayed at the pinnacle for three consecutive weeks. It also scored well on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart. A collaborative creative effort from songwriters Brett Beavers, Jim Beavers and Brett and Brad Warren, Felt Good On My Lips was produced by Tim McGraw and Byron Gallimore.

The good news of new gold for McGraw highlights a major January return to high visibility in the marketplace. The January 24th release of Emotional Traffic has been preceded on the Curb release schedule by four digital single releases from the new package by the label.

The release of Emotional Traffic also serves as a fresh reminder of the strength of the unique superstar presence McGraw has carved in the industry since his 1994 breakout with the #1 singleDon't Take The Girl.—a presence that was reflected in Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems 2010 proclamation of Tim McGraw as "Artist of the Decade" (2000-2010).

On the heels of the release of Emotional Traffic, McGraw's legions of fans hoping to catch their favorite artist in concert will potentially be striking more gold this summer. In June, McGraw will join Kenny Chesney on the "Brothers of the Sun Tour." The coast-to-coast large arena concert schedule will hit more than 20 major market venues between June and August. Markets already confirmed include Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia, Nashville, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Anaheim, and Washington, DC.
