"The Disharmonic Misadventures Of David Stein", A Funny, Far-out Musical Mystery Novel, Written By A Jazz Musician
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ David Stein Official Website) "The Disharmonic Misadventures of David Stein" A funny, far-out musical mystery. A jazzy new novel written by a jazz pianist. Now available at Amazon.com. A bungling jazz musician gets caught in a crazy, comic world of musical intrigue.

David is a neurotic New York jazz pianist, stumbling through his half-baked career. He's the kind of guy who walks out of the bathroom with toilet paper trailing away from his shoe. He hears a few seconds of a mysterious recording of piano music on the radio that burns his soul. The unknown music begins to transform him and he starts to experience extra- sensory perceptions. His obsessive quest to find out the identity of the pianist on the recording leads him through a series of outrageous gigs and in and out of his own slightly off-kilter imagination. Things always seem to go utterly wrong for David, and he finds himself embroiled in a murder, a death-music cult and a mystical battle of the bands.

This is a story of a musician's search for his real self,
and of music's power to transform the spirit.

Like the protagonist in "The Disharmonic Misadventures Of David Stein", Jonathan Segal is a pianist and singer. He has performed at over a thousand parties and events for the rich, famous, and not so rich and famous.

Some of the other things that Jonathan has done in a diverse music career:
Composed themes for network television, including "Monday Night Football" and "Another World", received an Emmy-nomination for "Outstanding Original Song", was the on-camera pianist and music director for "Afterdrive" hosted by Denis Leary, starred in the tour of Broadway's "Pump Boys And Dinettes" appeared in the on-screen band in the feature film "Baby It's You", played in Radio City Music Hall's pit orchestra, served as musical director for Off-Broadway's "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah", put out albums of his songs, written musicals, and performed at the piano with a wide range of artists ranging from Dizzy Gillespie to Chuck Berry. Thiis is his first novel.
