New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Corey Wagar Official Website) With the recent success of Corey Wagar's girl-power anthem hit, "I Hate My Boyfriend," this young country gal is giving back to those in need this holiday season. She is donating her remarkable talent to Holiday Express, a non-profit organization with a mission to deliver music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those in need.
"I'm excited to be a part of this organization," smiles Corey. "This is such a special time of year and it is great to know that we can put a smile on the face of someone who needs one this season."
This New Jersey native will join over 100 other professional musicians on the Holiday Express tour, as they deliver the gift of human kindness throughout NJ. They will bring music, fun and the joy of the season to children and adults who are disabled, homeless, living with AIDS, isolated elderly and others in need throughout the tri-state area.
President and Founder of Holiday Express, Tim McLoone, created this organization to deliver hope to those in need. "The people we serve every year have it much worse than any of us can imagine. And probably the worst part is, in many cases, the absence of hope. That's what Holiday Express actually delivers during our season - hope - and the knowledge that someone cares, even if just for a few hours once a year."
"Corey has been a terrific addition to our musician roster in that she has a compelling voice for sure but, more importantly, really understands our mission of bringing a little joy to some tremendously needy people during the holiday season," states McLoone.
Corey's current album, On the Edge, was produced by renowned music producer, Kent Wells (Dolly Parton, Neal McCoy, Michael Peterson, etc) and features her current single, "I Hate My Boyfriend" and her first hit, "Hurricane." Corey grew up listening to country music and knew she would make a career out of it. She began writing early on and has recently teamed up with some of country music's best known songwriters.
