Break Out The Bubbly - Michael Buble's "Christmas" CD Is No 1
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Liz Rosenberg Media) Michael Buble's new holiday CD "Christmas" jumps up another notch to No. 1 on next week's Billboard Charts with sales of 227,133 units according to his label Warner Bros./Reprise Records. The multi-Grammy winning Canadian superstar is scheduled to perform tonight (November 30th) on NBC's Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center.

"I feel like Christmas has come early for me...I'm really proud of this record so this is icing on the fruitcake. Thank you America and Happy Holidays," commented Buble on the stunning success of his CD which was released five weeks ago. Buble described his "Christmas" CD as "the album I dreamed about making my entire life."

With a 60 Minutes profile scheduled to take place this Sunday, December 4th, his own NBC Christmas Special December 6th, a guest host stint on "Live" with Kelly Ripa on December 15th and 16th and the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on December 17th, Buble is expected to continue to reign supreme on the charts through the end of this year.

Michael Buble is also ruling the radio as his version of "All Want For Christmas Is You" reaches No. 1 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart. The song first appeared on the charts in 1995 and was written and recorded by Mariah Carey. It's Buble's 4th No. 1 A/C hit following Buble penned songs "Home," "Everything" and "Haven't Met You Yet."

The "Christmas" CD is also a global hit and reached No. 1 in the UK and Canada charts and is Top Ten in every major market. Previous Michael Buble No. 1 CD's include "Call Me Irresponsible" and "Crazy Love." International sales for "Christmas" have passed the 4 million mark.

"Christmas" was produced by David Foster, Bob Rock and Humberto Gatica and includes such holiday classics as "Jingle Bells," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," "The Christmas Song," "Silent Night," "White Christmas" featuring Shania Twain and an original song written by Buble called "Cold December Night."
