New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ PLA Media) I Hate My Boyfriend, Corey Wagar's second single off of her debut album, On The Edge, is enjoying success since its radio release in September. The hot girl-power anthem dedicated to independence was co-written by Corey, who had a hand in writing all 15 original tunes featured on On The Edge.
Inspired by her real life, I Hate My Boyfriend was penned to remind girls that even when they are in a relationship, one should never falter in their own self image and belief. "Although I was feeling like I Hate My Boyfriend at that time, I couldn't help but think about how many times I heard this phrase from other girls," remembers the eighteen year old New Jersey native. "I was talking to Preston Brust of LoCash Cowboys and songwriter/guitarist
Gordon Brown and before we knew it, we had the song written."
