Statement On Joel 'Taz' Digregorio
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Recording Academy) GRAMMY Award® winner Joel "Taz" DiGregorio greatly influenced southern rock and country music with a career that spanned almost half a century as an integral member of the Charlie Daniels Band. A self-taught keyboardist with deep bluesy roots, DiGregorio used his natural gift for creating melodies to co-write many of the band's songs, including their biggest hit, "The Devil Went Down To Georgia," which earned the group worldwide recognition. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends, band mates and fans, as well as all who have been inspired by his music and live performances.

Neil Portnow
President/CEO
