Red Sky Tours To Mongolia And China: A Stampede For The Senses
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Red Sky Official Website) Red Sky is on one of its most exciting tours to date. Currently, Red Sky is in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia to perform at the most prestigious venues in both Mongolia and China. This multi-award winning production of dance and live music, Tono, tours to Mongolia's State Theatre of Opera & Ballet; Cultural Institute of Ulaanbaatar; Beijing's National Centre for the Performing Arts ("The Big Egg"), Beijing's Minzu University; and the Art College of Inner Mongolia in Hohhot, China.

This is Red Sky's first time to Mongolia. To date, Tono was performed at both the Beijing and Vancouver Cultural Olympiads and opened for Canada at World Expo in Shanghai. In 2010, Red Sky's Tono garnered three awards: a 2010 Dora Mavor Moore Award for excellence in the performing arts, and two awards at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards.

Tono is a visually brilliant dance and live music creation that connects the world Indigenous cultures of Canada, Mongolia and China. Tono is heavily grounded in the theme of horse culture, spanning plains traditions in Asia and North America with a storyline about shamanism and the creature universally regarded as the epitome of strength, grace and beauty.

Conceived and directed by Sandra Laronde, and choreographed by Sandra Laronde and Roger Sinha, featuring 11 dancers and live musicians. Tono is a stampede for the senses.
