Tokyo Rosenthal Rides Up The Charts
Chapel Hill, NC (Top40 Charts/ Glass Onyon PR) Rock & Sock Records recording artist from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Tokyo Rosenthal, has blasted on to the Americana Charts with his latest release, "Who Was That Man?". "Toke" reached the lofty position of No 5 on the very significant FAR Chart (www.tcmnradio.com/far/). He followed that achievement at No 8 on both the Euro Americana and Alternate Roots charts respectively. He also just debuted on the Cashbox Roots Music Report at No 33.

While his prior albums, "Love Won Out" and "Ghosts", both had dalliances in the charts, neither had the impact or the rating that "Who Was That Man?" has. The critical acclaim in the reviews has matched the charts in adulation for Toke's latest contribution to the Americana music scene making all involved in the project quite happy.

"I'm overwhelmed with the reaction to "Who Was That Man?" and humbled by the names I see above and below me on these charts, said Rosenthal. "Some of them are people I've been paying to go see in concert for years and others are friends who I know from playing the same clubs while out on tour. The attention to my music not only by the radio community but by the critics as well has made all my efforts worthwhile. And I fully appreciate the detail with which they write about my tunes. As a writer it's quite wonderful to have people take the time and space to analyze what you are saying and also gratifying when they also happen to like it (lol). I'd be remiss if I didn't thank my entire team for this accomplishment including but not limited to my wife Carrie, Chris Stamey, Charlie Chamberlain, Warren Sharp, Bobby Britt, Allyn Love, Will Rigby, Americana Media Promotions, Rock & Sock Records, Glass Onyon, Hemifran, Dreamspider Publicity, Pancho Ballard and the Banditos, Dynasty Records, Jim Sutherland, Disc Makers, and Amy Green. Also of course to all the members of the Americana media community and chart organizers, whose tireless support keeps our genre in the limelight where it belongs."

Tokyo will be following up this initial success with live radio station performances, U.S. tours, and UK V, Toke's fifth visit to England and Scotland. For more information log on to www.tokyorosenthal.com andwww.myspace.com/tokyorosenthal.
