A Greatest Hits Album From Six Shot Revival
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ JMD Records) Here's to the good times and the trouble that's comin'. That's a line from rock band Six Shot Revival's track 'Whiskey Bent'. It's both their battle cry and challenge to anyone who wants to give them a listen. See, Six Shot Revival ain't your Daddy's Southern Rock and in their latest album 'Greatest Hits, Vol.1', they celebrate scandal and personal ruin, spiked by some kind of 21st Century moonshine that you may not get up from the next day. If a good music hangover is what you're after, then by all means, get drunk with Six Shot Revival... at your own risk.

In 2009, Jon Brown and Brandon Purinton were searching Craigslist for a lead singer. There they found Marc Phillips. At the get-go, Marc knew what the band's songs would be about - from his experience. He says, 'Drugs, jail, women... make for some good material'. Marc has gone a long way from singing in church as a kid and becoming part of a teen angst band to the lead singer of Six Shot Revival, all right.

To give Six Shot Revival a brash guitar riff to define their sound, guitarist Jon Brown is The Riff King. His path to Six Shot Revival's exercise in damnation is a crooked one. His father, a jazz trumpet player, had him listening to Miles Davis growing up. And then, Jon discovered British Metal via Priest, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin. For their album 'Greatest Hits, Vol.1', he embellished several cuts with his standup lap steel in Hawaiian Slack Key tuning.

On drums is Brandon Purinton, a classically-trained pianist who played drums in a jazz band in college. Bassist Steve Morrison graduated from a recording academy and he worked at Southern Track Studios right after, eventually becoming its Chief Engineer. Finally, Six Shot Revival was complete and it was a raunchy explosion of talent, gusto, and bravado that had to be utilized to the fullest.

But how does one capture lightning in a bottle?
For the album 'Greatest Hits, Vol.1', Steve Morrison and Tom Tapley were tapped to produce and engineer their recordings at Atlanta's legendary Southern Tracks Studios. The dynamic duo worked on albums by such artists Mastodon, Pearl Jam, Sugarland, and Bruce Springsteen. To spread the word of Six Shot Revival, they performed and opened for acts Buck Cherry, Hell Yeah, The Damned Things, Nashville Pussy, The Gracious Few, and American Bang in various gigs.

When the members of Six Shot Revival show themselves, expect unkempt hair since they resist the call for modern styling products. When you choose to watch their live performances, get ready to sweat and stay dripping wet the entire time. The band is not into the novelty of pretty boys doing rock. They're not here as another flash in the pan - they're here to stay. Six Shot Revival has also been reportedly working on an ambitious rock-opera titled 'Faust Part 3', set in a small town of Atlanta featuring a Foghorn Leghonr as the ghost of Goethe. Wicked cool.

If you're ready for Six Shot Revival, download their album from iTunes distributed by JMD Records and INgrooves (a partner of Universal Music Group.)
