Tim McGraw Countersues Curb Records
Nashville, TN (Top40 Charts/ Tim McGraw Fans Website) TIM McGRAW has filed a countersuit against his label. Earlier this month, CURB filed suit against McGRAW for breach of contract (NET NEWS 5/18). CURB claimed in their suit, filed on MAY 13th in DAVIDSON COUNTY COURT, that McGRAW presented recordings for the new album, "Emotional Traffic," too close to his 2009 project, "Southern Voice."

The countersuit seeks advance payment, recording-fund reimbursement and unspecified damages, as well as a jury trial. It also states a request that "Emotional Traffic," be his last album for CURB, with McGRAW free to record for anyone else he chooses after JULY 23rd, 2011.

The countersuit from McGRAW was filed on MAY 23rd.
