Rubblebucket Headline Bicycle Film Fest In Nyc, 6/22! Free MP3: 'Bikes'!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Girlie Action Media & Marketing) "The (now) Brooklyn-based band love tricky arrangements, whistle solos, disco guitar leads. I liked "Silly Fathers" for its "I'm Coming Out"-like guitar and blithe vocals from lead singer Kalmia Traver. It reminds me of Central Park, lawns, and roller skating." - Stereogum

"...bobs along merrily with warmth and punch provided by muted brass, intrigue courtesy of the unexpected twists in the arrangements, and humor by a penchant for whistle solos. Fans of the Dirty Projectors will be pleased." - The Wall Street Journal

"Rubblebucket's the kind of music that's nearly impossibly to pigeonhole." - Nylon

Rubblebucket is happy to announce it's headlining spot for Bikes Rock, The Bicycle Film Festival's official kick-off at Santos Party House on 6/22! In honor of their headlining spot, the band has made their track "Bikes" available for free download. Grab the track HERE. The track first appeared on the band's 2009 self-titled record.

The band's appearance at the Bicycle Film Festival comes as the band is preparing to release their latest record, Omega La La on June 21st via Sin Duda Records. The album was recorded at Plantain/DFA Studios and finds the band collaborating for the first time with legendary producer/mixer Eric Broucek (LCD Soundsystem, Cut Copy, Hercules and Love Affair) for the Brooklyn eight piece's most adventurous record yet. The band recently premiered their latest video for "Silly Fathers" on Stereogum. The site praised the track for it's "'I'm Coming Out'-like guitar and blithe vocals from lead singer Kalmia Traver." Read Stereogum's full post on the video HERE and watch the Youtube video HERE. Rubblebucket has also made the MP3 of "Silly Fathers" available for free download HERE.
