LA's The Darlings On Tour Now With Punk Legends Face To Face And Strung Out
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Earshot Media) LA rockers The Darlings have come a long way since their inception in 2005. After beating out hundreds of bands to win this year's Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, the Darlings had their song "What Lies Below" picked up by the Anaheim Ducks, who used the track for their 09/10 season promo spots on Prime Ticket. The band's song "Let's Roll" has also been in steady rotation on influential LA modern rock station KROQ's Locals Only show for months. In addition to taking part in the Vans Warped Tour for the third time last summer and securing endorsements from Ernie Ball, they hit the road on tours with Pennywise, Guttermouth, Strung Out and others.

The Darlings, recently signed to Gadsen Records, are currently touring in support of their latest release, "The New Escape" which melds the individual members' classic rock and alternative influences into a hearty dose of honest and pure, rock and roll that steers clear of trends and posturing. Stand out songs include "Let's Roll" "Hypnotize" "Untitled" and "Broken Heart Still Beating."

"The New Escape" was recorded by at Z Studios and Tao Creations in Los Angeles and was produced/recorded/mixed by Ed Faris. Guest musicians include Donnie Nemarnik of Tiger Army who plays pedal steel guitar on "Head Hunter" and Jason Cruz of Strung Out who provides back up vocals on "Where Do We Go.

The Darlings are on tour now with fellow Southern California punks Face to Face and Strung Out (dates below).

What others have said about The Darlings:

"...infectious melodies and chanting choruses..."- See Magazine

"...Social Distortion influenced punk rock..."- OC Weekly

"Redondo Beach band The Darlings also put on a stellar set. By set's end it was obvious that the group had won over a good chunk of the audience, Vocalist and guitarist Buddy Harris is a captivating frontman with terrific range and a commanding stage presence. And his band is pure rock 'n' roll in the vein of Social Distortion - the songs are straightforward and well-written, the stage setup is simple, and these guys know how to put on a good show."- Orange County Register

"The Darlings introduced their brand of catchy pop punk and it had the audience frenzied and dancing along. They unleashed a high-energy performance that impressed even the straight-faced behemoths standing in the back of the bar. "Let's Roll," "Fight Alone" and "Where Do We Go" came loaded with infectious sing-along chorus lines and riveting guitar riffs. The Darlings definitely had the audience's attention."- The Owl Mag
