Kenny Rogers-Opry Trifecta: March 11th Performance To Mark 3rd Grand Ole Opry Appearance In Golden Career
Nashville, Tennessee (Top40 Charts/ Webster PR) Odds are "The Gambler" will deal audiences a winning hand guaranteed to be long remembered when the iconic Kenny Rogers marks his historical return to the Grand Ole Opry stage this Friday night, March 11th. The event will remarkably be only Rogers' third Opry appearance in an unparalleled music career that has celebrated half a century of worldwide success.

Rogers' highly anticipated return to the Opry stage comes as a center-point of a major resurgence of his music, visibility and creativity.

Central on the music side is the March 7th release of The Love Of God - a gospel-themed CD that sets Kenny Rogers apart as the first artist to release a second album project as an exclusive part of the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store music series. With strong street week sales of the new CD already being scanned, Rogers is poised for a blitz of national visibility during March.

This Sunday (13th) GAC-TV will air Kenny Rogers: The First 50 Years. The star-studded special, originally taped in 2010, features some of "The Gambler's" most celebrated friends including Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Wynonna, Lionel Richie, The Oak Ridge Boys, Smokey Robinson, Alison Krauss, Chris Isaak, Billy Currington and Darius Rucker, among others.

Set on Rogers immediate 'live' television agenda is a guesting next Tuesday, March 15th on NBC-TV's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (12:35 Eastern/11:35 Central). On Wednesday (16th) the celebrated artist will have an early wake-up call to guest on the popular morning telecast, Fox & Friends.

As one of the music industry's most celebrated "crossover artists", Kenny Rogers' success in both country music and mainstream genres has, over the past six decades moved him solidly into the rarefied atmosphere of the legendary. Since receiving his first, of many, Grammy Awards in 1977 for 'Best Male Country Vocal Performance' for his multi-million selling "Lucille", Rogers' career set sail towards achieving 120 hit singles across multiple genres. He has topped the country and pop chart in the U.S. alone for more than 200 individual weeks, scoring multiple platinum albums in the wake of hit singles. In collecting scores of awards from NARAS, CMA, ACM, and AMA's, Rogers has remarkably kept his career relevant while gracefully moving to a season of iconic "Lifetime Achievement Awards" reserved only for the legends in music.

This Friday's Opry audience will have the special treat of hearing music from The Love Of God premiered live on the Grand Ole Opry stage by the artist himself following performances by artists that include Josh Turner, Ralph Stanley, and Ricky Skaggs. Kenny Rogers is set to close the evening as only a legend can.

Kenny Rogers' The Love of God CD can be purchased from any Cracker Barrel Old Country Store throughout the U.S. as well as online at: www.crackerbarrel.com
