Nashville, Tenn. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Records) James Otto and Warner Bros/Warner Music Nashville have parted ways. Otto announced the division via Twitter yesterday (2/28). "I have truly enjoyed the time I have spent working with Warner Brothers Records," Otto posts. "The staff is comprised of many talented individuals that I am proud to also call my friends. I know there will be many exciting years for WB, especially with John Esposito at the helm." Otto, a co-writer on Jamey Johnson's ACM and CMA Song of the Year hit "In Color," will soon embark on a USO tour through Iraq and Kuwait and will continue to pursue new songwriting opportunities. No official word on what this might mean for his most recent single, "Soldiers and Jesus." But it can't be good...and good is at the very least what a talent like this deserves. He adds: "I will continue booking and playing shows throughout the year, and since becoming a new Dad, I hope to catch my breath by spending time with my wife Amy and 6 month old daughter, Ava, who is about to crawl any second! I don't want to miss it!" According to Otto, more news is to come shortly and "this is not the last you'll see/hear" from him - "just a new chapter."
