New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) USA Today, LA Times and AOL Popeater lead the first wave in shining a bright light on "about to pop" (AOL Popeater) alt-pop singer/songwriter/pianist
Laura Jansen, whose US debut album 'Bells' is out March 22 on Decca.
Here's a taste of what they've had to say about Jansen and lead single "Single Girls":
"Heartbreak manifests itself many ways in this tender ballad."
- USA Today, https://usat.ly/LauraJansen_USAToday
"Anchored by little more than piano and Jansen's nimble slip of a voice, 'Single Girls' evocatively captures the first delicate steps into the unknown of singlehood, the time when getting a drink with the guy down the hall feels thrilling and illicit and getting flowered girlie sheets for your bed feels like a defiant victory."
-LA Times "Pop & Hiss," https://lat.ms/LauraJansen-LATimes
"Makes the little things magical."
- AOL Popeater, https://aol.it/LauraJansen_AOLPopeater
'Bells' is a layered confection of piano melodies and pristine vocals, with all songs written by Jansen except for the stunning, bare-bones cover of Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody." Currently on tour with Joshua Radin and Cary Brothers, Jansen will hit SXSW before heading out on the Hotel Cafe tour later this year.
