The Country Site founder and Pretty Cool Huh director Jason Pelham said, "We're very excited about the completion and addition of The Country Site to our repertoire of sites centered around the Country Music lifestyle. Today's Country Music Videos, first launched in July, 2007, was Pelham's first foray into blogging about country music, and has grown to become one of a handful of sites that loyal country music enthusiasts turn to for up-to-date information on their favorite stars. Pelham added The Country Paparazzi in January, 2010.
"We found that although the site was created to showcase music videos, we were providing so much more: news, contests, information...we knew that we needed a flagship site to bring all that content together," adds Pelham.
"Our Facebook and Twitter presence has really exploded over the past couple years, and after we rolled out our brand new look to both the Videos and Paparazzi sites, it was time to answer our readers' and followers' demands for an all-encompassing site about Country Music. That's what The Country Site will be all about."
The new site will also begin to feature guest bloggers who love to write about Country Music. "There's a real growth in the blogosphere for writers who love their Country, but don't have an outlet. We're excited that The Country Site will be able to provide that outlet," Pelham continued. "We will be making a very open push for guest bloggers to become regular or occasional contributors to our network of sites.
