In celebration of this year's Gospel GRAMMY(R) Nominees, the event is a pre awards ceremony, concert and service honoring the nominees and benefiting THE DREAM CENTER'S PROJECT HOPE. "IT STARTED WITH A DREAM" will feature live performances by GRAMMY(R) Nominees:

KIRK WHALUM
Saxophonist Kirk Whalum has been a recording artist for 25 years and has over 25 solo recordings to date. He has received numerous awards including twelve GRAMMY(R) nominations (four this year which include two for his most current releases: The Gospel According to Jazz, Chapter III and Everything Is Everything: The Music of Donny Hathaway), two Dove Award nominations, a NAACP Image Awards nomination, and he has won two Stellar Awards.
