Priscilla Presley Says Elvis Would Have Loved 'Viva Elvis'

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Priscilla Presley says Elvis Presley would have loved Cirque du Soleil's 'Viva ELVIS' Las Vegas show and 'Viva ELVIS - The Album,' out now from Legacy Recordings.

Presley recently told USA Weekend that because "the show is on the Strip in Las Vegas, where he loved to perform, where his presence is, I think he'd be very honored."

And she's happy to see the emergence of a new generation of fans for the King of rock 'n' roll, who would have been 76 January 8th, because, she says, ' He had everything. He had the looks, the sex appeal, the style, but he was also humble and generous. He was a phenomenon."

'Viva ELVIS - The Album' out in cooperation with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. and Viva ELVIS by Cirque du Soleil at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, is a 21st century celebration of Elvis and his music, featuring the voice of the king in a whole new context. Produced and arranged by Erich Van Tourneau, the album is a multi-faceted audio extravaganza creating a larger-than-life musical portrait of Elvis through newly re-imagined versions of classic tracks.
