Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Yes Dear Ent.) - Legendary musician and Grammy winner Rickie Lee Jones will embark on a short tour appearing in only six venues in Dec. For the first time in her career she will feature the music from her debut album Rickie Lee Jones and her follow-up project Pirates in their entirety. The singer/songwriter will be joined by some special friends, many of whom performed on her original recordings.

Her debut record, Rickie Lee Jones was released in March 1979 and went to No 3 on the charts powered by the success of the single 'Chuck E.'s in Love" (No 4 in the U.S.) and the soulful jazzy feel of her music, new to the pop charts of America.

Following a successful world tour, and an appearance on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, Jones secured five nominations at the 1979 Grammy Awards for Record of the Year; Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female; Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female; Song of the Year ("Chuck E.'s in Love"), and Best New Artist, which she won at the January 1980 ceremony. She was also voted Best Jazz Singer by Playboy magazine's critic and reader polls.

In 1981 Rickie Lee completed her second full album, Pirates which also received critical and commercial success getting to number five in the U.S.
