New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Eve Schwartz Public Relations) - Due to the sad divorce filing of Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish of 17 years the day of the show, Mr. Cyrus was unable to collect his award for Best Country Artist. According to the divorce papers, the couple cited irreconcilable differences. The papers were filed in Tennessee on the same day of the event. The couple has five children including pop star Miley Cyrus.

'As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family. We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers,' the couple said in a statement.

The dinner gala took place at the prestigious Luxe hotel of Bel Air, with an impressive performances by TV and pop stars Josh and JB Welch, and Justin Foutz , this year winner of the Los Angeles music awards in country category. A silence auction took place with the highlight being a leather jacket by designer 'Kaptain,' especially designed for and signed by Humperdinck.

Kool and the Gang received the 2010 best legend band award. Humperdinck received the 2010 music legend award, David Longoria won the all that jazz award, while Jenni Rivera took best female artist award. The charity event is a place where young musicians across the country gather to honor and pay recognition to musical artists, while benefiting ASYM's Musicians Development and Support Fund.

In response to the overwhelming support ASYM has been shown over the years, Jarvee Hutcherson, National President of the non-profit foundation American Society of Young Musicians stated, 'in these tough economic times, we need to encourage the human spirit through music now more than ever, and it is because of the support of labels and fans that we are still providing that encouragement.'
