Domingo And Ariondo In Il Postino

Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ KENNEY PUBLIC RELATIONS) - Music lovers who have not yet experienced the music of renowned accordion master NICK ARIONDO, will now have a chance to do so for free when, for the first time in it's history, LA Opera stages an outdoor screening of current smash hit opera, Il Postino on Saturday October 9 at the California Plaza in downtown Los Angeles and October 11 in Costa Mesa.

ARIONDO, a two-time Grammy winner with LA Opera Orchestra, accompanies legendary tenor Placido Domingo onstage in both an aria and in a lush tango scene that compliments composer Daniel Catan's popular score. The versatile musician also recently surprised after-opera diners in a downtown restaurant when he accompanied Il Postino tenor Charles Castronovo in an impromptu serenade that was received with loud applause and bravoes.

NICK ARIONDO has made frequent appearances with LA Opera and LA Chamber Orchestra. He also performs often with classical and jazz musicians and because of his expertise and knowledge of a wide base of world music, he is a much sought after solo performer and composer/arranger.
