L.I.F.E. is an eclectic band with influences ranging from Latin, rock, new age, world, jazz, and pop music� but the Latin rhythms rooted in the Clave stand out. The band's keyboardist and composer, Rae Serrano, has an impressive history. He earned a Gold Record for his work on the soundtrack for the movie "Beat Street"; he has worked and toured with Afrika Baambaata and Willie Colon among others and enjoyed successfully creating the Latin Freestyle group Amoretto (which had a hit dance single in the 80's called "Clave Rocks"), and resulted in pioneering the Latin Freestyle Hip Hop movement.
