Las Vegas, NV (Top40 Charts/ VEGAS ROCKS! Magazine Awards) - The first-ever VEGAS ROCKS! Magazine Awards will be held Sunday, August 22, 2010 and will take place inside the original home of rock, The Elvis Showroom at the Las Vegas Hilton. Honoring local and legendary rock artists, the show, themed "I Wanna Rock," will feature an all-star jam capped off with a performance by Dee Snider.

The event marks the six year anniversary of VEGAS ROCKS! Magazine (https://vegasrocksmag.com) and will be Las Vegas' own first real rock awards show, hosted by the "Publishing Queen of Rock n Roll" and VEGAS ROCKS! Magazine Founder/CEO, Sally Steele.

The show is presented in conjunction with Rick White, Vice President of the Las Vegas Hilton and music industry legend Jerry Greenberg. Sponsors include Dollar Loan Center, Desert Honda, Nothing But Skulls, XPOZ Supporting A Smoke Free Scene.

A Grand Rock n' Roll Royal Red Carpet media event preceding the event with appearances Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, James Kottak from The Scorpions, Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple, Flavor Flav, Dee Snider and many more.

The show will feature a dozen local awards including Best Rock Band, Best Punk Band, and Best Metal Band. Snider will receive the Rock n' Roll Savior Award; Lemmy will accept the VEGAS ROCKS! Lifetime Legend Award; The Scorpions will receive the Rock Group Lifetime Achievement honor; Flavor Flav will get a Best Rock Clock in the Universe Award and Hughes will accept the Inspirational Icon Award.

Also appearing will be Athena Lee (Tommy Lee's sister), Paul Shortino (Rough Cut/ Quiet Riot), Jake E. Lee (Ozzy), Ron Keel (Keel), Jimmy Crespo (Aerosmith), and Otis Day (from Otis Day and The Knights from "Animal House").

Other celebrities set to present, perform or attend include Thomas Ian Nicholas from the "American Pie" films, who is also a musician; Nick Oshiro (Static X); Tony Franklin (The Firm); Chris Frazier (Whitesnake); Kerry Simon (Celebrity Chef); Mario Barth (Celebrity Tattoo Artist); Gregg Giuffria (Giuffria); Steel Panther; and Zowie Bowie.
