New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Five Alarm Funk Official Website) - Five Alarm Funk's horn powered, percussion fuelled sonic and visual assault will tour across Canada this summer with the release of Anything Is Possible, the genre-spanning, groove-straddling third album from the heavy-set funk machine. From David Lam Park in Vancouver, to the Evolve festival in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to the Keelung Mid-Summer Ghost Festival in Taiwan, it's going to be a true Five Alarm Funk party.

The album's first of fourteen tracks, 'Infernal Monologue,' begins with an angelic children's choir before quickly moving into classically inspired heavy prog-rock. From there the party gets started with some straight-ahead funk on 'Zenith Escalator' before turning to driving world-rhythms and burning middle-eastern inspired horn lines on 'Titan'. And there are still 11 more songs to go. Influences as diverse as Frank Zappa, Yes, J.S. Bach and Antibalas all make an appearance before Anything is Possible is finished.

For more than six years the band has brought their relentless and unforgettable live show to clubs and major festivals across Canada and into the United States. From over 250 shows Five Alarm Funk has performed highlights include: Vancouver Jazz Festival, Toronto Jazz Festival, Ottawa Blues Fest, Shambhala, Sunfest in London, Ontario, Ness Creek Festival in Saskatchewan, Summer Meltdown in Darrington, Washington and numerous sold-out shows at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.

The 11-piece phenomenon Five Alarm Funk has shared stages with such artists as Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Herbaliser, Sly & Robbie, Fishbone and Xavier Rudd. The group is excited to present their longest and most varied album to date and to be heading out on their longest and furthest tour yet.
