Nashville Songstress Megan McCormick Kicks Off Summer Dates Tonight

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Singer/songwriter/guitarslinger Megan McCormick, whose debut album 'Honest Words' is out August 17th on Ryko, recently toured with Amos Lee, Alejandro Escovedo, and Matt Nathanson. She will be playing a string of dates this summer, including a date this week with Carrie Rodriguez, next week with Amy LaVere, and at Nashville's Pride Festival in Riverfront Park June 19th.

The 23-year-old McCormick, a powerful-voiced native of Wasilla, Alaska, will also bring the deep-in-the-blues groove of her guitar and her songs about addiction, obsession and romance to Iowa, Illinois and Virginia.

She'll then return to Nashville to play The Basement, where legendary music publisher David Conrad, who's championed the songs of Gillian Welch, Nanci Griffith, Patty Griffin and Emmylou Harris, discovered her. There, Megan will celebrate the impending release of 'Honest Words,' twelve tracks of raw, heavy, beautiful rock & roll.
