New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - "One Part Duffy, One Part Patsy Cline" (Glamour)

"If you need a dose of folksy roots music with an indie slant, look no further than Lay Low." (Nic Harcourt)

Icelandic chanteuse Lay Low, who channels classic country stars like Patsy Cline and Kitty Wells, has confirmed the first leg of her U.S. tour with a string of Northeast dates in late April and early May.

See Lay Low live:

Fri. APR 30 - Boston, MA @ The Red Room/Cafe' 939
Sat. MAY 1 - Northampton, MA @ Iron Horse Music Hall
Mon. MAY 3 - Brooklyn, NY @ Union Hall
Tue. MAY 4 - New York, NY @ Mercury Lounge
Wed. MAY 5 - Philadelphia, PA @ Kungfu Necktie
Thu. MAY 6 - Washington, DC @ The Black Cat

Lay Low will be sharing the bill with Horse Feathers. Additional U.S. dates will be announced shortly.

The stateside tour follows the release of her new album, 'Farewell Good Night's Sleep,' (Loo Records), recorded and produced in London by Liam Watson (White Stripes, Holly Golightly, James Hunter) at his analog Mecca Toe Rag Studios.

The busy Icelandic star (born Lovisa Elisabet Sigrunardottir) recently opened for Dave Matthews in Denmark and Sweden, and was interviewed on NPR. Check out this March 27 feature with Weekend Edition's Scott Simon: https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=125136380.
